LET Requirements for First-Time Applicants

The documentary requirements, degree qualifications, and examination fee currently published by PRC for Professional Teachers—plus the checks to make in LERIS.

On this page

Start with PRC's Professional Teachers entry

This page stays within the current PRC List of Requirements for Professional Teachers. Verify that official entry before filing, then use your active LERIS transaction and appointment document for any operational instruction specific to your application.

A general guide cannot determine whether a special record, correction, or office procedure applies to you. When PRC's published list and your generated transaction do not answer a question, confirm it with the relevant PRC office before paying.

Published documentary requirements

PRC currently lists these records for Professional Teachers. The official page identifies the requirement; LERIS or the appointment record tells you how the item is handled for your transaction.

1

PSA Birth Certificate

Use the identity details on the record when completing your LERIS profile.

2

PSA Marriage Contract

PRC lists this for married female applicants. Confirm how your current legal name should appear across the transaction and school record.

3

Transcript of Records

PRC lists a TOR with scanned picture and the remarks “For Board Examination Purposes” for first-time applicants and repeaters.

Exact TOR wording to request

Ask your registrar for a TOR that meets the PRC Professional Teachers entry: it should have a scanned picture and the remarks “For Board Examination Purposes.”

Do not assume a school's standard-purpose transcript uses the required remarks. Show the official PRC wording when making the request.

Published degree qualifications

Elementary level

PRC's current Professional Teachers entry identifies BSEED/BEED for the Elementary level.

Secondary level

PRC lists BSEDor its equivalent with a major and minor, or a bachelor's degree in arts and sciences and degrees considered equivalent, with at least eighteen (18) units in Professional Education.

Degree equivalency and the specialization available in LERIS are eligibility questions. If your degree title or units do not clearly match the published wording, ask PRC to evaluate the situation before choosing an exam level.

Published examination fee

₱900

PRC's Professional Teachers entry publishes this as the payment for the complete examination. Verify the amount and use only a payment option displayed in your active LERIS transaction.

Final LERIS and appointment checklist

  • The name and identity details match across the PSA record, TOR, and LERIS profile
  • The TOR contains the scanned picture and required PRC remarks
  • The selected Elementary or Secondary level matches the published degree qualification
  • The fee and payment option match the active LERIS transaction
  • Any appointment is followed using its generated location and document checklist
  • Current PRC and regional-office advisories have been reviewed

Circumstances that need direct confirmation

The short Professional Teachers entry does not explain every possible applicant circumstance. Contact PRC before filing if you have a legal name discrepancy, education completed outside the Philippines, an unusual degree title, incomplete school records, or a portal option that does not match your situation.

When asking, include the exact degree title or record issue and the examination level you intend to take. Keep PRC's response with your application records.
